Face-to-Face Interviews in Africa

Face-to-Face Interviews in Africa
Face-to-Face interviews in Africa are often used to obtain information that may be too sensitive to collect using other survey techniques. The primary benefit of face to face interviewing in Africa is having an interviewer present, which establishes trust on the part of the respondent.

Additionally, an interviewer is able to ask clarifying questions and/or incorporate visual aids to obtain more descriptive results.

Webhaptic Intelligence’s team members are trained in the detailed methods of personal interviewing under guidance from project managers with many years of experience in conducting sensitive interviews.

Interviewers receive a detailed briefing at the start of each project to ensure consistency of procedure. They are more detailed than close-ended responses found in shorter surveys conducted among larger samples. Since the sample size of a focus group is small and not random, it is not recommended. The primary benefits include recording open-ended responses.
